July 15, 2017 Amy and Nick said "I Do". Not only to each other but to the great privilege of walking into marriage tethered to Christ. These beautiful believers were brought together by the brilliant world of online dating. First meeting December 15th, then getting engaged April 15th, and stepping into marriage on July 15th! Hmmm... I see a little trend there. This couple knew that they didn't need to look anymore for each others forever love. They knew the Lord made one for the other. Being part of their wedding day was a joy!
Being able to see a love that is written about in stories...
A love thats worth waiting for...
A love that is worth not settling for...
A love that is pure, true, and centered around Christ was just what the Lord needed me to witness.
There were so many beautiful moments that had me on the edge of tears but I was all smiles July 15 watching Amy and Nick unite as one together in Christ.
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

I have noticed that in the beginning life stages of my photography business that those who rally around me to support me have been my clients! And this is nothing new with this sweet couple.
I met Amy at church nearly 3 years ago after moving to Spokane. We were in the same Beth Moore Bible Study. Amy has an adventurous spirit that has lead her all around the world. She lived in Japan and traveled Asia while she was there. She has also been on countless short-term mission trips which leads us to another intersection of the Melissa and Amy world. Unknowingly to either of us we were both on the same mission team to Nicaragua together through our church! I learned so much about this girl and her heart for people and for living her life with Jesus at the center.
I love short courting periods. I don't know if its because Brenton and my dating and engagement happened rather quickly but people... when you know you know and why wait any longer than you have to! Amy & Nick's love story is no different. The two had their first date in February, were engaged in April and are getting married in July! They have each other, their love and Jesus. What more could you need?
For their engagement session we were quite adventurous. Well the entire day leading up to their Coeur d'Alene engagement photography shoot was... It was pouring all day in Spokane and we thought we might have to cancel but I was holding out and praying hard! It stopped raining 20 minutes before Nick & Amy showed up and the sun busted through those clouds. We hiked Tubbs Hill in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to the spot where Nick purposed just one month earlier. Being able to take the couple back to where they started this journey to the alter made their love beam even more than it already was.
Nick showered Amy with affirmations of his love and affection the entire night and Amy could not wipe that gorgeous and huge smile off her face! Their love is something Nicolas Sparks writes stories about... I might send him a pitch soon. With that said, they made my job incredibly easy with their extreme love. You can't help but notice it in these photos!
